Birthing Pains

Bang Head HereSetting up a new business is tough, setting up a new business that operates on a extremely nontraditional business model is even harder! Its been a long and often bumpy road to get here but finally the store is open and t-shirts are heading out of the door to you all. I thought Id share you all some of my experiences and the things Ive learnt along the way. Salvadorian Reality

 I just got back from 4 days in El Salvador where I was genuinely privileged to be able to present the Fuentes family with a grant and a micro-loan that is literally going to change their lives forever. This was the first project that we have been able to finance through Filanthropic and is was a real privilege to meet and talk with the people who are going to benefit from the money that we have been able to provide.

 I’d like to introduce you to a friend of mine, Mr. Ed Secutive. Ed owns a major high street clothing brand and last year his company brought in revenues of $400,000,000. Ed Secutive himself earned $12,000,000 last year and has a net worth of $100,000,000. Last year he was featured on the front cover of Time magazine as well as a host of fashion periodicals like Vogue and Cosmopolitan. He vacations in the Hamptons, has a penthouse in Manhattan and is widely regarded as one of the most eligible bachelors in the world. He has received and occasionally accepts invitations to speak at storied institutions like Harvard Business School and even dinners at the White House.
